NFLT’s annual Fish Fry fundraiser is our signature event on Big Talbot Island! Come out to celebrate the great Florida outdoors for this relaxed and family-friendly land trust tradition.

Join us for a group paddle at one of our preserved properties in Ponte Vedra Beach. No prior paddling experience is necessary! Come experience the work we do, first hand.
October 21: Salt Marsh Brewgrass Festival
Come out to Big Talbot Island for a great lineup of “Brewgrass” music outside on the marsh! Bring the kids and a blanket or chair and enjoy the outdoors while benefitting conservation in North Florida.
February 25: First Quarterly Clean-up on Big Talbot Island 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
North Florida Land Trust adopted a three-mile segment of Heckscher Drive/A1A through the Florida Department of Transportation’s Adopt-A-Highway Litter Removal Program. Help us clean up this section of the highway to prevent trash from entering our state parks and waterways. Then join us for lunch (provided) at Talbot House.
March TBD: Pescatello Island Trailblazing & Paddle
Come paddle to Pescatello Island Preserve and help us trailblaze and pick up litter on this pristine maritime forest hammock island, owned and managed by NFLT.
March 18: Sawpit Island Clean-up
Help us clean up Sawpit Island and the surrounding areas to clear the beach of litter and debris before the diamondback terrapin nesting season begins!
March 25: St. Johns River Celebration Clean-up, 8:00 am – 11:30 am
NFLT will be a site captain at Keep Jacksonville Beautiful’s annual clean-up on Exchange Club Island under the Matthew’s Bridge. Bring your own boat or kayak to help keep this park clean!

Despite a clear bipartisan mandate from the public to fund land conservation, the Florida legislature has chosen to allocate much of those funds toward other purposes. Contact us to schedule a training and to learn more about the Florida Water and Land Conservation Initiative and how to better advocate for the issues YOU care about.
January 27: 2017 Timucuan Science & History Symposium
NFLT Stewardship Coordinator, Emily Dunn, will be presenting on diamondback terrapins and NFLT’s volunteer monitoring program, Team Terrapin at the Timucuan Parks Foundation annual Symposium.
April 15: North Florida Land Trust SPROUTS at the Beaches Green Market
NFLT will be a guest at Dig Local Network’s SPROUTS program at Beaches Green Market in Neptune Beach. Come shop for locally farmed foods and bring your kids for a nature craft while learning about the importance of preserving the natural world.
May TBD: What is a Conservation Easement? | River Branch Preserve Kayak
Bring your own kayak and learn what it takes to be a NFLT Land Steward. We will discuss the important role of conservation easements in land conservation and monitor one of the easements we hold in Atlantic Beach: River Branch Preserve.
